My neighbours have just had another baby, making it 17 months between children.
When I mentioned to the dad, "You guys didn't hang around!" when I heard about the pregnancy, his response made me think it might not have been entirely planned.

I’d be quite taken aback if someone said that to me.

i think all age gaps have different challenges and advantages and are dependent on the personalities of your children, as much as anything else.

19 between my eldest. They are late teens now and have shared friends and go to the pub together. Very close. It was hard work when they were little especially as one is autistic and the other has adhd!

in my opinion -

2 under 1 = very small gap.
2 under 2.5 = small gap.
2.5 to 4 =average age gap
5+ = larger age gap.
