To take nub theory with a pinch of salt?

I had my first scan yesterday and I'm 13 weeks. Unfortunately, today curiosity got the better of me, and I paid a few quid for a seemingly reputable site to predict the baby's gender based on the 'nub theory' . They predicted a girl.

I don't know why I did it and really wish I hadn't. I actually don't mind what sex my baby is, only now I've got it in my head that we're having a girl... but I know they're not totally accurate so it's a false sort of knowing... In a way it's worse than having no idea.

How accurate are they really? The site was 'nubtheorycheck' and apparently it's trained professionals who check the image, but can they really tell from one blurry ultrasound?

Has anyone used that site before, and how accurate were they? I wish I'd just waited til the 20 week scan.

I used a website to predict based on nub theory for mine, as did my DSis and DSIL, between us 7 DC’s - all were correct. Just my experience. I will say it’s worth noting the website I used gave a % on how sure they were and all of ours were estimated over 90% accurate and had very clear nubs pictured. I took with a pinch of salt as I genuinely didn’t mind either way, was just impatient!
