How long is too long??

Just had a thought tonight whilst doing the washing up... How long is it OK to wear washing up gloves for before throwing them out and getting a new pair? I realise I basically wear mine til they fall apart! I do wash them whilst wearing them, after finishing a task, as in I put a squeeze of washing up liquid on my hands and wash them. Sometimes (please don't judge) they do smell a bit iffy inside 😬 I just wash my hands after taking them off! I only use my kitchen pair for washing up and wiping worktops etc.
I have a separate pair for the bathroom I hasten to add! Which, ironically, I would throw out more often. Whenever I need to engage in a proper hands right in the water loo clean, they'll be thrown out after.
Do others do the same, or am I just a grotbag?

If you’re wearing them to protect your hands from cleaning products then “too long” would presumably be once they stop doing that because they have holes or splits allowing products in.

But I’ve never cleaned in gloves so no idea if there’s some other job they’re meant to be fulfilling that they might not do when old!

I bin a glove when it gets a hole in it.

You both seem to do the same as I do, which makes me feel a little better! Once they've got a hole, they've got to go though, the feeling of water in a washing up glove is not the best.
