AIBU to think that if my friend is earning £70K + her husband should NOT be claiming incapacity benefits?

I'm thinking it's outrageous and that I should say something to her/authorities...what do you think?

so how do you qulaify for it do you have to have paid in are the basic national insurance contributions enough

my father earned over that when he was working and he was disabled. should he not be granted the same relief as others just because he has been successful?
also what about childrens allowance?

To qualify u have to of paid NI on earnings over £80 for at least 25 weeks in the 3 full tax ears b4 the date of claim.

or something like that-its been a while since Ive done it

also of course u need the medical evidence(sick note) that u r ill.

And as someone said b4 there are exceptions.

Incapacity benefit is all changing to ESA soon though.
