Anyone want to help a bit? Is 235cm high, 100cm wide and 60cm depth wardrobe enough for one person?

I currently have one that is half of this (50cm wide), everything is super packed / needed to find extra space for some outdoor clothes, so I need to buy a new one. I don’t have a lot a space, I want it in my bedroom, I’m not a fashionista - so don’t need fancy showcasing or super duper much space - all I have is basic need-it clothes, but what I currently have is not enough.

Do you think 100cm is enough?

YABU: Need a bit bigger wardrobe
TANBU: It’s enough for one adult for her basic stuff, maybe some of the outdoor stuff too

I think it’s okay - you’ll have a lot of height so big jumpers and fleeces can go in shelves at the top, shoes at the bottom.
id consider getting 60cm wide plastic drawers that are half the height to go inside- you can hang shirts and tops above and longer stuff on the rest of the space.

Logic would tell me that if you're currently fitting stuff into half the space, just not comfortably, then it will be fine. That's very tall though, I have very tall wardrobes (Pax by any chance?) and I can't really use the top of them as I can't reach them.

But yes I think that's enough space. I have a 100cm wide one with a hanging rail and drawers. I do have a separate chest of drawers but I could clear it out if I needed to.

Well it’s more than you have now and you’re managing with that.

Yes. This is what I have. I have a 4 drawer 50cm wide unit inside for folded stuff. Shoes next to that. Plenty of space on top shelf for bags and out of season stuff. My wardrobe is pretty organised but I don’t struggle with that space.

Yes, Pax indeed😀 is the one I’m liking the most right now.

Tall wardrobe was a must for me, (so hard to find btw), I like it cause then I don’t need it to be so wide and I store some of the clothes I wear very rarely and some clothes I keep for sake of nostalgia/memories.

I agree with your logic, just wondering the more I’m locked-in with my choice. All my clothes are so-super-packed-in (most likely not even that good for clothes) and also I looked some ideas on social media (I know, never a good idea) but so many had much bigger one’s and they didn’t actuallu look that crazy and over the top, so started to wonder….

Thanks for a reply!!

That's what I have, tall pax. I have 4 drawers at the bottom, hanging space (I fold the few long items I have in half over a hanger) and then a shelf at the top with two big zip up storage boxes, one for bags / accessories and one for out of season clothes.

Are drawers (wooden one’s or more basket like) good, or do they use too much or waste space?

I have a pax but went for the less tall version so I can store stuff on top. Same difference really just preferred outside to inside storage for unused clothes/shoes.

my inside set up is hanging rail, shelf, two drawers, basket drawer. I am planning to change the basket drawer for a proper one though as it annoys me by falling off the runners quite a lot.

the glass shelves/drawers are nicer than the solid wood ones.

I really like the drawers, I have three wooden ones abd a basket one at the bottom (as otherwise the hinges were in the way & we would have lost more space to accommodate that). They are big drawers, I don't have any other clothes storage so everything is either in those drawers or hanging up.
DH has the same set up with an identical wardrobe.

I've got the basket ones in all my Pax (I have 8 - 6 tall and two short) as it's a lot cheaper than the drawers. Unsure how the others are constructed but with the baskets at least the bottoms can't fall out!
