To think they can’t deny me a refund?

I sent back an item. I have the email to show it was dropped off and it even says collected - and then nothing. The tracking just hasn’t updated (it’s been around a month)

I used the return label issued by the company. They are just saying they haven’t got it so they won’t refund me

I would get in touch with the carrier/courier company (I’m assuming with is different to the company you were returning to). Say you need to make a claim for an item you were returning and they have lost in transit. If they then say it was delivered back that’s the proof you need to get a refund.

Are they a former department store starting with D? Had that with them ages ago. Started posting on their then x page and eventually they did a "search of their return department" and found my parcel with a couple of expensive dresses. Got no where with emails etc.

I have had a similar experience with a large online department store. I wouldn't use them again.

Was it over £100? I had to raise a dispute with my credit card company when I returned something.

I had this issue with a high street shoe store. I didn’t actually need a refund as the return was an item they had sent to me in error but they pestered me for ages about it. Irritatingly I had deleted the receipt from InPost (won’t do that again) but chased it up with them and they confirmed it had been delivered back to the company. Didn’t stop them pestering me. Blocked them in the end.

Or as normal people would say, Debenhams.

You don’t have to keep the name a secret. They’re not going to sue you.

If it's their label they are the ones with the contract with the carrier. It's not even down to you to contact the carrier let alone pursue a refund. Covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015!

It's covered because the service they have provided (the return courier) should be carried out with "reasonable care and skill".

Thank you, that's something I didn't know. I've always been a bit concerned about returning things bought online...as they say... everyday is a school day

Contact your bank, ask them to refund from the company, you have an email to say it was collected.
