Grossed out by MIL

Don't tell me this is reasonable - my MIL has just used my kitchen scissors to trim her fingernail. She has done it over the cutlery drawer, leaving the cut off part of her fingernail to fall into the drawer, and then she's put the scissors back 🤢

YABU - this is totally normal behaviour
YANBU - gross!!

Many years ago whilst visiting my in-laws with baby, walked in to the kitchen one morning to find father in law using the sterilised bottle brush to clean their cat bowls 🙄

My EX MIL's house was dreadful. I'd start with cleaning the loo and then bathroom. Then re wash all greasy glassware / crockery / cutlery remove accumulated grease from a year's worth of grilling bacon and sausages since last visit. Her parents' house was pristine. She'd raised two sons. The eldest (my ex) was one of those who claimed didn't see issue with filth he generated. Second son was even lazier but was somehow trained by older girlfriend and rectified! I think EX took perverse pleasure in me tearing my hair out when did things like leave our downstairs Guest WC filthy when he had a designated bathroom upstairs! Also, shaved in the bath and wouldn't even rinse out let alone clean. Anyway, MIL. Christmas Turkey mayhem. She was always appreciative of my cooking and said how much she enjoyed my Roast Chicken on her last visit and what did I do? I explained that I softened butter, and carefully rubbed under Skin of Breast followed by any handy fresh herbs from garden, preferably Sage and Thyme. I walked in on her scooping out butter from Butter Dish, liberally shoving under Turkey breast before sticking hand back into Dish to scoop more. She couldn't fathom why I was aghast and insisted that any remaining butter was not to be applied to morning toast etc.
