Ooh i have a strange thing about chinooks, the boys all belive I own them all and them on lease

pregnantpopcornprincess · 11/06/2008 10:27

I have a thing about chinooks too - I go weak at the knees thinking about all the fit young men in uniforms who are inside them!

bramblebooks · 11/06/2008 10:33

omg, more chinook botherers! I thought I was the only one - I adore them and have a big photo up of one that we saw at an air day. My boys know that I jump up and down and clap with excitement when I see them!

For my 40th, I asked for a chinook to hover above the garden, then for the Italian football team to glide down on ropes bearing tiffany boxes. Somehow it must have got lost on the way!

bramblebooks - LOL!

airforce/army......they are all angles to me. Thank goodness for the boys who fight for us - I'm getting all sentimental and daft.

bramblebooks · 11/06/2008 18:16

herbie - swoon!

ppp - I went to RAF culdrose air day last year and was all tearful at the thought of those chaps putting their lives on the line (regardless of any of my political feelings about anything warlike!)

The chinook was amazing - and my new passion became F-16 fighter bombers and their mach 1 speed!!!

Is a pacifist really.

Weegiemum · 11/06/2008 18:20

My db takes chinooks apart, cleans the sand out and puts them back together.

He's my brother, but is as fit as the men who ride in them!

(taken, ladies, taken!)

YABU! we had this last year, a poor old lady had wandered off and died of exposure, but they were looking for her.

Sussex Police now state on their website, when the helicopter was out, where it was and why it was out. Satisfies my curiousity
