How soon is too soon to say I love you?

My DD 20 has a history of falling very fast in relationships. She split up with her last boyfriend about 6 weeks ago at her instigation. They’d been going out for about 13 months, met 16 months ago. She went back on Hinge the same week they split up. She had a few dates and then met a boy about 4 weeks ago. They saw each other every day after their first date but could only do this for 10 days as he was then going abroad for 4 months. They text and FaceTime daily. The night he left he told her, “I love you” and she now is saying this back on FaceTime. They have known each other 4 weeks but most of that has been long distance and online not irl.
Do people think this is far too quick and devalues the meaning of I love you.?

Does it really matter? Your emotions are your emotions regardless. Saying it won’t change those emotions whether you break up or stay together.

I do think it’s said too readily and then there’s nothing left to say once you actually feel it for real because you’ve wasted it on the first exciting flurries of dating

Ahh they're young and it's all new and exciting at the beginning plus the long distance thing probably intensifies the feelings! I wouldn't worry, it'll probably calm down over time.

They havent differentiated between lust and love. That said I know many couples that have declared i love you very early on and had very successful long relarionships/marriages.

The same day is mad, but absolutely irrelevant because as soon as you start attacking the BF - your DD will defend them and the relationship. You need to focus on building her, showing her what is acceptable behaviour, what to no accept, what raises eyebrows, what is red flag...

Dont attack the BF, dont go in saying she falls too hard...
