I know it’s ATAT - but dear goodness. I despair of the number of adults who, upon writing on an internet forum for advice, ALL seem unable to provide the age of the child in question. Surely that occurs as very relevant if you are summarising an issue. It’s so irritating.

I don’t recognise this at all. Most posters give the ages in their OP. A hand full forget but give the ages once prompted.

I agree, the age of a child is so relevant in a lot of posts and could literally change me thinking YABU to YANBU.

Fully agree. So difficult to advise if the op says "my child is refusing to eat" for example as there's a lot of difference between a 3 year old and a 13 doing that

Exactly!

But unfortunately because many MNers are very stupid and can’t read all the OP’s posts, the thread will be endlessly derailed by people asking what the age of the child is or giving entirely unhelpful advice.
