I'm a teacher and would love to receive this if a parent/ guardian has money to spare. Otherwise a hand made card is perfect.

That is a great gift!

I'd just be aware that it has strong foundations in the catholic faith - so if you're donating on behalf of a teacher who has strong feelings about the catholic faith it might know be ideal. I know many say that 'charity is charity' but I also know plenty of people who don't donate to charities founded on religious doctrine.

It's beautiful..I personally know communities that benefit from this wonderful NGO. I even know one of the country bosses. You will be providing important meals and nutrition that are sometimes the difference between going to school on not. And even more, at times it's the only meal that child will have that day.
Cafod is another good one focusing on education. Both have catholic roots but do not force their faith in anyone and help children from all walks of life. In fact many communities don't even realise their catholic leanings (just to address what @Arlanymor rightly raised).

I mean it's nice idea, but it's not really a gift for the person who is recieving it.

It’s not a gift for the teacher.

Absolutely. I work in a Catholic School and would be delighted by this. The area I work in is high need though so our staff are donating to food hampers for our families in school, which are discretely delivered to homes.

My DD is a teacher in a primary school where most of her students get both breakfast and lunch at school and she is desperately worried about how they will fare over the 2 weeks when they are off.
Her school has organised a food drive-I think she would be very grateful if parents who are able would contribute to this!
they have also just, in conjunction with a local fee paying school, ensured that every child has a coat, hat and gloves.
You don't have to look far to help...

It's not a gift though is it?
Donating to a charity in someone else's name is not a gift for them.

How about you ask your dh or your mum or your friend to make a donation in YOUR name fir your gift and either send the teacher a card or buy them a bottle of wine because they're on their knees right now .

Why? Either give the teacher a gift or don’t.
