To think this is rude & tell them so? Job related

2 weeks ago I was invited to an interview with 3 days notice. It was a 2 hour interview, I asked if the times could be changed slightly and they said no. So I cancelled my diary and attended.
I did a task, met the staff and a formal interview.
They took copies of my address and driving licence so they’d be ‘ready to go’ if needed.
After the interview, which overran, they informed me they would ‘call you tonight either way’
No call came. 2 days later, I sent a polite follow up, thanking them for their time and asking if they needed anything from me.
No response. 1 week later I got a generic ‘you have been unsuccessful’ email. I responded asking for feedback, radio silence.

This is a government organisation.
AIBU to think this is incredibly rude, dismissive of my time and be tempted to tell them so?
I also think it’s very disrespectful to not send me any indication of what they’ve done with the copies of my personal details that they took!

It is very unprofessional but given their track record, can't imagine they will read or respond to it. Probably just count yourself lucky you didn't get the job!

I am grateful I didn’t get the job! I just think it’s really rude. It’s the same job I do now, so I’m well qualified too!
