To feel depressed about shopping online

I have little kids and due to CoL, I end up doing most of shopping online. I feel but sad and depressed about the fact that I am missing out on shopping in real world supermarket and getting to enjoy the festive season, with special addition in shops like Lidl or Aldi.
I miss seeing things in real world but I don't drive yet, hoping to pass the test next year. DH does but I find stressful to go out shopping with little kids basically a baby and another one just getting out of toddler stage.

Could you get the bus, do the shop and then dh pick you up? Surely he could look after the kids for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning

I understand your situation and YANBU to miss the bustle of real Christmas shopping.
Could you ask DH to drop you off in town this Saturday for a few hours and then pick you up again to go home? Okay so you might not spend much, but you could get in the Christmas spirit and maybe get one or two stocking fillers if you spot some bargains. I don’t think you’d be unreasonable to ask that.

I personally prefer shopping online because it's easier and less stressful, but can you get your husband to drop you off and keep the children with him, then pick you up, so that you can enjoy some shopping?

Surely the two of you could manage to take them shopping together?

I get what you mean OP. There’s no online supermarket deliveries near us so one of us does the food shop while the other stays with the toddler. Tonight though I went and met a friend for late night shopping and dinner in town and it was lovely. I feel very festive and bought some great stocking fillers from the local small business Christmas market. Can you get a couple of hours mooching round the shops while DH minds the kids?

Ask your husband if he can drop you off at the supermarket and the other shops. Then you can shop for a while, experience the festive season, and he will pick you up afterwards. He will look after the children while you shop.

Good luck with your driving license!

If you go at 9.30am, just after the school kids have gone in, its the quietest and best period to go xx
