thank you!!! channel orange might have to be in my top 5 albums of all time, its just perfect in every way. surprisingly it was blonde by frank ocean that was my number 1 album, but that too is perfect. what an awesome artist he is!!!

‘Blonde’ is completely beyond competition or comparison.

I was listening to it on repeat in my fifties and I honestly think Frank Ocean reshaped my understanding of being alive, and how to express how it feels to be alive. I’m a ‘creative professional’ but that album showed me ways of using and delivering the English language that I’d never heard before. And the fact that I, in almost every way so very different in life experience to him, (we share just one identity marker) found it spoke to me so piercingly, makes a nonsense of the non-organic identity politics that’s forced upon us right now.

It’s a masterpiece.

But there were many good times too. His mixing sessions were amazing.

My top was Matchbox 20 with Alanis coming second and Daughtry next. It thought I was 43 instead of 39 but in music terms there is probably not a lot in it.

My son uses my account and is very into 60s music, so our listening age is 78 😭😂

Bizarrely Tom Petty is my most listened to artist. Bizarre as I can’t remember last time I listened to him. Turns out there was a day in March where I listened to Free Fallin’ 167 times. Can only think I accidentally left it on repeat and walked out the house.

I’m not sure how accurate the lists are this year.

Apparently the song I listened to most I listened to 10 times. But I know there were songs I listened to far more, as I was trying to do arrangements of various things.

I remember the wait for frank to release blonde 😄, it took forever! I'm sure i stayed up until 4am or something once, (so midnight in the us) for him to release it but it didnt happen

I do wonder how accurate mine is this year

I listened two songs this year:
Boys in the better land - fontaines dc
Homesick - noah khan

And theyve apparently been listened to less than 10 times - I know that to be false - i finally left my hometown this year and those songs got me through it, and I had them on repeat

Anyway I do love drake so that is accurate 😭
