CFs on Facebook marketplace

Is it just me that attracts complete and utter CFs on fb marketplace?

Bought a special edition silver cross pram (the ones which include the cot bassinet and toddler seat inserts) on fb marketplace for £60. Good condition except a few scuffs on the metalwork, came with all of the accessories and bag.

Unfortunately ds1 was too large for the toddler seat so I decided to put in back on marketplace for £30 as I don’t have room for it in my flat. Lots of photos, the bag had a slight unravelling on one of the handles so noted this in the listing too.

Low and behold, the amount of CFs I’ve had messaging me has really pissed me off. One said she would come yesterday for it so I stayed in. She then said I will pay you £10 now and the £20 in a few weeks. She went in the huff when I declined. Another sent a message that they were going to come then said we’ll come next week instead please hold it. Got arsey when I said it was first come first saved. Another telling me they would come for it but there better not be any marks on it or they would be furious. The most irritating one was someone messaged ‘There’s clearly something wrong with it selling it that cheap’. Didn’t reply then they wrote ‘I’ll give you £10 for it!’. I put a laughing emoji and said I wasn’t a charity shop.

I’ve taken down the listing and will be donating it to the local woman’s refuge instead. Has anyone else experienced such tight, greedy bastards on marketplace?!

@WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing I don’t get where they get the audacity from! Reminds me I was selling a brand new jumperoo on there for £20. One of the parents from my dc school who drives very nice cars messaged on there asking if I would take £5!

Urgh I’ve seen that on my local one too. I once dropped a free electric breast pump off for someone as she said she didn’t drive and she wasn’t fucking in!!

Should have learnt from past experiences, will donate to charity from now on.

It’s not just you, I only put free stuff on there now with very clear instructions that it’s collection only and still get 100s messages asking if I’ll deliver - often from 15 miles away or more!
I’ve put two things up recently, both were over £100 new but over 10 years old and slightly damaged so gave them away. Both items collected by people in brand new cars of course…

Interesting that people may think it's too cheap so must be a rip off - could you put it on Ebay with a auction reserve of £50? Then people will think it's more valuable but the psychology is more that they feel they have a bargain.

Bought a pram for £1000 5 years a go, now trying to sell it for £50. Had offers for £10. It’s discusting.
