Hiya advice would be appreciated

My 6 year old daughter who is currently in year 2 has always found school difficult
nursery, reception, year 1 she kicked off, screamed, acted out in the play ground/ at her classroom door not to go to school, she would have to be calmed down by two members of staff, she had some play therapy and calmed down a lot and start of year 2 she went straight in school no problem, about a month in to year 2 we then moved schools ( needed a closer school ) and she didn’t kick off at all even when it was new she went In no problem
I thought she was getting better in terms of her social/ emotional development after she’s improved going in school
BUT
I’ve Just been to her parents evening all her books have writing on them saying she struggled to do this struggled to do that, she’s no paid attention to the task ect
The teacher said that she tells the class to do a task and when she gos to check my daughters she hasn’t even started the work. I am actually concerned now and wondering what can be causing this ? She was on the SEN register at her old school but not this school and the teacher said she will speak to pastoral to see if there is any help but the teacher seemed like she wasn’t sure what to do

Then there is my son who is 9, he’s doing well in school and his teacher said he’s settled in the school well, made friends but he can’t sit still, he struggles to focus and he’s got a big imagination, he’s always thinking of things and doesn’t switch off and she said it’s not his fault, she said he’s not naughty or disobedient and he’s only doing it because he can’t help it, she said other kids get distracted because he’s distracted, she did suggest sending the gp to some support though.

am I unreasonable to have concerns ? Esp about my 6 year old.

Has either of your children been assessed? I'm a teacher based in Ireland so the uk pathway might be different to us. But that is where I would start.

Thank you
no they’ve not been, their old school was not helpful at all and I’ve never known how to help support for them x

Did you tell the new school your dd was on the SEN Register at her old school, so they could be pro-active about chasing up plans, etc?
