Apologies I'm normally reasonable but my head is so frazzled so I cant think properly. I've had to read this several times to put the right words in

I woke up yesterday morning super dizzy, and felt like I was walking on a boat, it wore off but came back yesterday evening

This morning I've woken up and the room is spinning. Even if I close my eyes I feel like I'm being spun, and I cant focus on a point. I feel very woozy, walking is hard, and I'm sort of flopping about. Like the feeling that happens just before you pass out. I've been sick a few times

Im deffo not pregnant, no big medical history. Recent back pain so took some cocodomol to manage but none in last 3 days

Sounds like I get with labyrnthitis. It’s awful but nothing serious in the big scheme of things. I’d see the gp when they reopen.

LaLoose · 16/11/2025 10:55

Yes labyrinthitis. GP. It’ll pass but it’s unpleasant.

Chap2025 · 16/11/2025 10:57

Possibly inner ear infection affecting your balance. Definitely a GP or walk-in appointment for antibiotics. Do you have someone who can take you?
Really debilitating!

toomuchfaff · 16/11/2025 11:54

debilitating but not life threatening, so my opinion would be not A&E because you'll be back of the very long wait, and you'll spend 12 hours sat in the waiting room vs 12 hours in your bed lying flat.

Where would you be more comfortable?

Juliannaz · 16/11/2025 11:55

Pharmacy will be able to give you some tablets to help with the dizziness. They are the same as sea sickness drugs

IsItSnowing · 16/11/2025 12:28

I would say ring 111. It could be so many things and nobody here can really advise on that.
I can tell you that I had a phase of dizzy spells last year and my GP were quite concerned to rule out any serious. I was fine but it is definitely the right thing to get it checked promptly.

Bignosenobum · 16/11/2025 12:29

Could be labyrinthitis. See your gp. X

Zanatdy · 16/11/2025 12:31

I’d say Gp tomorrow

HansSolo22 · 16/11/2025 12:34

Sounds exactly like me when I had labyrinthitus a few years ago. Phoned 111 as no idea what was happening and they sent me to A&E. I couldn't walk in a straight line, room spinning, nauseous. They gave me an injection to help, which it did but I can't remember the name. And told me to drink lots of water. It's horrible x
