Worried I've got breast cancer

Can anyone offer any kind words until I can see someone. I was leaning over in front of a light and I noticed a dimple in my right breast. I didn't think much of it but then of course I looked online and now I'm shitting myself. I've attached images. I've filled out an online form for g.p next week. It's just typical I've booked a week off work next week and was looking forward to it but things always seem to go wrong

Take a breath, it might be nothing or it might be something. You’re doing the right thing in getting it checked out but, (and I know it’s easy for me to say) there’s no point in worrying until you know there’s something to worry about. If you stress about it being the worst case scenario and it turns out to be cancer, well you’ve just lived it twice really.
If it is cancer, then a lot will depend on the prognosis (i.e. grade of tumor, invasive/non invasive), you will be in great hands who will look after you and explain everything. I’ve had two mastectomies with reconstruction and so far life is good (3 years cancer free).
Take care and try to enjoy your week off. Sending FlowersCake and unmumsnetty hugs. x

Sorry you’re stressed by this OP. Definitely get it checked but try not to worry too much (easier said than done). Yes dimpling can be a sign of something scary but equally breasts are filled with different tissues that can all go through benign events like fat necrosis.

The GP should get you seen quickly - I had a biopsy of a polyp in my throat within 2 weeks when they worried about cancer (it wasn’t!).

And, as much as it’s not huge consolation, if it is cancer at least breast cancer has a 5 year survival rate of 99%.

Crossing my fingers for you. Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor.

It’s really easy to jump to worst case scenario. I’ve just been on the 2 week fast track cancer pathway after finding a lump. I too read up and scared myself about all of the possible outcomes.
Went to the Breast Clinic on Thursday and had an examination, mammogram and ultrasound and I didn’t need a biopsy. They called me two hours later (apologising for taking so long) and gave me the all clear.
You probably won’t get an appt at the hospital during your leave so keep yourself busy.
9 out of 10 women who go to the Breast Clinic don’t have cancer. The important thing is to get it checked out, which you’re doing.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I'm normally the one running around worrying about everyone else and this has worried me
