DECORATORS - is £250 a lot as a day rate (West London Zone 1-2)?

Hi - interested to hear perspectives on whether this day rate is considered normal or a rip off, especially from people currently using decorators in Central London. I think it sounds like a lot, especially as there would be 2 of them, meaning £500 per day! AIBU? Thanks.

Standard day rate in the south west here. DH is a contractor and a client declined using our decorators at the end of the project as they thought the price was too steep and unfortunately have been left very upset at the finish of their cheaper decorators and have paid again for the more expensive decorators to come in to rectify the work. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

I’m up north and I think it’s cheap.
