Wheres the CF thread about the tickets?

I was following it last night about the CF who wanted recompense for not paying for tickets and wanted to treat her daughter, where is it? I need updates

Yes this is good! I hope OP sees this and can emphasise further if needed, that ‘‘there never was a promise that if X couldn’t make it she’d receive a cash equivalent”.

Honestly the entitlement score is off the chart with this one and I don’t think any other school moms disagreement will ever top this. If she complains about OP to the others, surely they’ll think she’s a bit nutty also.

Yes I do really feel for X. Whenever I’ve even slightly bashed my shin I act like a wounded puppy, but to actually fracture the bone is bloody horrific. I had already thought about buying her some merch & taking it round, before DD suggested it. I think we’ll still do it, but through gritted teeth as we’ll have to go past CF.

Ask her for money for the merch.... I dare you!

Oh phew the thread wasn’t deleted - I save CF situations like this to discuss/debate at length with DP, it’s like moral philosophy but better.

But who thinks like that? If you can longer attend an event that someone else has kindly covered the cost of, it's ridiculous to think that you're entitled to be given the cash equivalent to do something else.

I'm reminded of a thread not so long ago where someone had offered to take a friend on holiday and they had asked for the money instead!

I haven't been so invested in a CF thread since the one where the OP shared a holiday home with family (I think it was her DH's sister). The OP always left loads of food, loo roll etc but their relatives always used to finish everything off and never replace anything. I was fuming on her behalf.

I do think they need to use CF threads on MN as some sort of educational tool in schools.

My thoughts behind the reasoning are that the OP/ DD offered the tickets. Now that the girl can’t go, her disappointment is OP/DD’s fault so they have to take responsibility and make amends. If they hadn’t offered she wouldn’t be disappointed.
