Pet fish

Does anyone have any?

We have a ddog, she’s getting on a bit now and not so playful. My 7 year old always seems to want to be finding pets/bugs and looking after things. She’d probably love a pet fish, but is it sad/cruel on the fish?
Also how much are fish and the equipment (smallish bowl) how often to clean and would the dog try to get it, should you get a pair?
Basically how much of a hassle are they? 😂

What the F* are you talking about?

This is clearly the response of someone experienced with fish and has some great advice.

How rude.

Washing ‘what the fuck’ is just as rude!

I don’t know if this would be possible for you but we have a small pond in our back garden. It’s about 500 gals and about 3 feet deep. We currently have about 12 goldfish and one koi, they are all about 5 years old. It has a filter and a few bubblers for oxygen. We feed them (very little) starting in April or May and through September, we do not feed from October-April. They go down very low in the winter, we cover with a net to protect from leaves, and they over winter just fine. We do have pond plants to nibble on and to hide in, and they generally look very happy! They are the easiest pets ever as if you go away (we’ve left them almost two weeks) they eat algae and nibble plants and are fine. From October-April you don’t have to do anything! But you can still visit them.
Summer they will swim up to you and look for food, you will be very popular!
