Obviously, it’s disappointing at the time when you don’t land a job you interviewed for, especially if you thought it was “perfect.” But looking back, there have been a few roles I didn’t get where, with hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. Either the team turned out to be toxic, the company folded or the job would have been a terrible fit for my long-term goals.
AIBU to think that sometimes not getting a job isn’t just bad luck, it’s life steering you away from a bad situation you couldn’t see clearly at the time? Has anyone else ever felt relieved later on that something didn’t work out?
