Jellycats, where to buy?

Is there anywhere that’s better priced to buy the jellycats than the Jellycat website? I’ve tried searching online and some are coming up on eBay which are substantially cheaper and I think they must be replicas. 11 yo dd is desperate for some jellycats for Christmas but I can’t justify the prices on the jellycat website. Aibu or should I bite the bullet and buy from the website knowing they are legit?

Reselling on Ebay is common and often safe. If your budget is smaller, I’d buy from EBay and save yourself some money. They have great buyer protection if you have legitimate evidence that a product is fake.

An 11 year old is unlikely to notice a difference anyway

They are the same price everywhere. An 11yo will know if they're fake. I buy DD one most birthday and Christmas, she loves them. Less presents = better quality presents.

Sorry I forgot to add, Smyths Toys sold originals previously, they still might but the prices weren’t much better

Lots of Garden centres and department stores sell them

Thanks all will have a look. Would like to buy her a genuine one so think I will play it safe and stick with the website then

I got a jellycat off vinted but it was the same price as on the official website - it was just a good buy in that it was no longer stocked. I've seen ones going higher as well so probably not much different.

BaconCheeses · 01/11/2025 20:31

Your best bet is to buy genuine bit through sellers like John Lewis and use any discounts or sales x

Puffthemagicdragongoestobed · 01/11/2025 20:31

I would be careful buying off eBay. If it’s too good to be true it’s most likely fake. Just buy her one nice jellycat as a one-off for Xmas, they are really nice toys. When you buy off the jellycat website they come in a special jellycat bag which is a nice touch.

Dinosweetpea · 01/11/2025 20:37

Apparently Jellycat dont allow sales or discounts so offers are very rare. There are a lot of (very good) fakes on Ebay and Vinted so it's tricky to know.
Temptation gifts is a genuine website and the only place I have ever seen them discounted slightly so worth a try.

crappycrapcrap · 01/11/2025 20:38

Don’t use eBay. Vinted is great if you know what you are looking for/can check its real. But re-sale is usually above retail price.
Cheapest option is JC website/John Lewis and Selfridges (but the website is prone to crashing)
Your DD will definitely know a fake or her friends will, so just buy one really nice one in whatever style she likes.

Jo Jo mama Bebe and some other places do Klarna - John Lewis probably does too

I recently bought a Jelly Cat Bunny for a friend’s new baby. The cheapest place I could find on line and in stock was Harrods’ 😳
