AIBU to want to watch a film in the cinema without interruption?

We've not had a very good run of luck with recent cinema trips...

Last trip - 2 x 30 something ladies sat next to us and talked through the trailers, then carried on talking (not whispering) through the film.

Previous trip - a man came and sat next to us and promptly started snoring/breathing really loudly. We couldn't work out whether he'd fallen asleep or not.

Trip before that - a man was talking loudly to his family through the film and was also vaping.

Vaping man was reported to the staff members, who occasionally came in to check on the situation but didn't catch him in the act so nothing happened.

The other 2 trips we just moved to empty seats away from the noise, but if we'd been in a busy screening we'd have been scuppered.

Why don't people just quietly watch a film without bothering other people?

We gave up going to the cinema years ago because other people can be such selfish, disgusting pigs 🐖🐖

I've not been to the cinema in years but I've notice the behaviour of theatre audiences has massively declined! Talking, coming and going from their seats, noisy eating, playing on phones, all during the performance!! And tickets people have paid £80+ for!!

Yes! I feel it's worse at the theatre as not only does it cost a lot to go, but it is disrespectful to the actors/musicians.

We went to a comedy gig - not big ticket but not cheap either - and someone in front of us watched basketball throughout the entire show.

The sound volume is so ear-drum vibrating loud at cinemas now, I’m amazed you can hear them, or in fact anything at all for the next hour.

I stopped going to one cinema because people, mainly teens and 20-somethings, were constantly checking their phones and staff refused to do anything about it.

Another local one used to be better but last time I went my seat was next to a 70+ year old man loudly commenting to the woman he was with, presumably his wife, about every fucking scene.

I mention ages just to prove bad behaviour is everywhere. Funnily enough, last time I really noticed perfect behaviour was when I saw Dog Man. Perhaps some adults could learn something from 5 and 6 year olds?

That's exactly what I was going to say!

My hearing isn't great and even I find it deafening.
