Is my DS unreasonable for thinking Chris Jarvis is his dad?

He stops dead at the end of the Bedtime Hour and says "sdee!, sdee" (an approximation of his dad's name) while trying to sing along with "the end of a lovely dayyyyy"
He's 20 months old.
He also stops dead when he sees pics of him in his weekly magazine (i get them for the stickers....he loves them) and points.
He's infatuated with him....poor DP is quite bemused, as what's left of his hair is ginger.
Or does he just want Chris and Poi to be his mummy and daddy, rather than us? (sob......)

That all sounds perfectly normal. I wanted Brian Cant to be my dad.

Chris is lovely - I quite understand why your little one adores him!

He'll be a great bargainng tool in years to come - eg 'What would Chris say about that?'
'Chris says it's bedtime now', 'Chris says you have to wash your hands and tidy your toys'.

Just think of him as the third person in your marriage

and an even better bargaining tool more years later, when he denies all knowledge of his great love.
i know it's normal, but poor "sdee" looks quite hurt everytime this happens

Fret ye not, my daughter was insistent at one point that the radiator in our dining room was her daddy

the puzzler (numbertakers), harry hill, simon king (springwatch) and a monkey - all of these have been called "daddy!" by dd1 (2), my dh is just a bit dissapointed, i think he is hoping she will point to a picture of johnny depp instead.

I wanted brian cant to be my dad too.
