Electric log burn effect stove / fire

Hi

Looking to install an electric fire fake burner / stove type . Most places I read recommend Dimplex but note some models steam up . I don’t think this would look great .

Full central heated house so will mainly burn heat occasionally, the light aspect will be used more .

Can anyone recommend one that looks good like a real burner , doesn’t steam up etc ?

Prepared to pay extra to have it looking good and functional

Thanks

We have a bio ethanol stove - looks lovely and gets nice and warm too.
might be worth a look? I like it as it is a real flame, also all of the electric ones I saw were fan heaters and the noise puts me off.

Can you link to the one you have? 🙏

I have one of the dimple ones which light up the steam. It's really effective, they do steam up but then clear after a few minutes. Agree about the noise of a fan heater though, it's in the TV room so we don't really notice.

I used to have bioethanol. Ours looked great but didn't give off heat so check if they indicate room size.

How about a calor gas heater? I've got one that looks like a wood burning stove and it's fab, throws out a lot of heat.

We have one from British fires. It was pretty pricey, around £1500 but very realistic. We’ve had it for a year and no issues. Used to have a bioethanol one but found you had to use a lot of bioethanol to get a decent amount of heat and it’s a hassle storing lots of the bottles

That's a shame. I love listening to it burbling away but yes there is a smell about it.
