Having an operation today and terrified

Posting for traffic really and to stop myself walking out and not getting the operation. I’ve had operations before and always been nervous but my anxiety is off the scale. Convinced myself Im going to bleed out or they will make a mistake. Genuinely don’t feel I can go through with this.

I had brain surgery last Monday, cried like a baby because I was scared and that's normal! I've always tried to force myself to relax, use the 3 things you can see, touch etc and it does help. Hospitals do create anxiety and that's what happening to you now, try visualising the positive outcomes to balance your brain, which is in worst case scenario mode (natural hooman behaviour ❤️) and you'll be fine, wishing you all the best, and think of all the lovely chilled things uou can do whilst recovering! I'm 3 audio books down, several films and TV!

Wow brain surgery is a very scary prospect I don’t blame you for crying. Well done for getting throughout it. I hope you’re on the mend.

Generally people wake up the way they go to sleep, ie crying, or thinking of cocktails on a beach.

Is it stuck to your uterus? When you get a follow up appointment, tell them you can take a short notice, cancellation slot.

They told me think about something nice so I would dream about it. Scared I would wake up asking for the good looking trainer at my gym!

Welcome back!
Sorry to hear about your endometriosis though 😟 That does sound tough.
First things first, focus all your energy getting back home after this op and thinking about the things you are looking forward to doing when you get home.
You have been really brave today and done so well for getting through this operation.
One step at a time and sending lots of strength 💐

I’m glad you are done on this op at least.
Hope you are home tomorrow and that your husband takes good care of you.
