That Vinted’s ‘support’ function is crap?

I’ve had the misfortune to need to use Vinted’s help function twice now, in as many weeks. The first time the issue wasn’t resolved by Vinted. Me and the seller sorted it. Now though, I do their need help. The tracking is showing a parcel as delayed, not delivered, but the buyer has confirmed it has in fact been delivered (last week).

I have also reported this to Yodel. But I raised a ticket with Vinted on Saturday. They said ‘we’ll get back to you as soon as possible, but in some cases it may take up to 48 hours.’

It’s now way over that. I have obviously messaged again. But nothing. It’s so frustrating. The item I sold wasn’t cheap either.

Has anyone had any success contacting Vinted by any other means?

I loathe vinted at the moment. I am desperately trying to shut my account down. I'm completely unable to log in. I've tried a password reset which sends a verification code to a now non existent mobile number. The help option tells me that I need to log in to change update my mobile number so I'm running around in circles. To enter a help 'chat' to close my account I need log in.
There's no telephone numbers, the Facebook page message thingy is a bot and I'm getting nowhere.
I've sold items that I'm unable to send as I can't log in to view the postage details.
I can only hope that they close my account themselves through inactivity or poor reviews.
Customer service is a joke

I don’t use them anymore. I bought something for my daughter off there. I assume it’s the same for most people where you get a notification that it’s been delivered to a shop, and then you get sent a qr code to scan to pick it up (where you’re also meant to show photo ID). Well I got a notification that it had been delivered. Then 6 mins later I got a notification saying that it had been collected? I went down to the shop and it was gone. They couldn’t explain who had picked it up, or how they had without a qr and ID. Contacted vinted and they couldn’t care less. I was out of pocket. I’m not sure if it was stolen by the staff tbh, wouldn’t put it past them

I had a recent issue, however it was a tech fault at the shop where the QR code scanned but the machine used didn’t print out a label at the shop. Not Vinted’s fault really. Unfortunately, it was a late Saturday night so no one about Sunday and didn’t hear anything til today, but all sorted in a few hours.

Definitely was a real person.

Case closed as far as vinted are concerned I think. On the help page it says to wait 25 days before requesting compensation so I'll wait until then I guess. Luckily it is just my daughters second hand clothes rather than anything expensive!

I hope you get your compensation 🤞🏻

@Wellnowlookhere - I’d be interested in alternatives too

@Fuzzynavelgazer - jeez, that sounds like an absolute nightmare. And the problem with their crap customer service. If you could speak to a human you might have some semblance of being able to sort it….

@Danioyellow bloody hell, that is bad.

@phoenixrosehere - it’s good your issue has been sorted and by a real person. Seems like you struck lucky and maybe got the only actual human working there!

@Jadebear did anyone ever get in touch with you?

I sold something expensive, posted it via Royal Mail and it was delivered on the 25th. This didn't update on Vinted so the bot said I had to send a screenshot of the buyer's acceptance which I did, and I haven't heard from a human since - just bot responses. Today I got a message saying as the tracking hadn't been updated the sale would be cancelled at 7pm tonight.
I've just tried the only contact I haven't yet tried: [email protected] and had an auto-response from them saying they'll get back to me in 48 hours. I was just wondering if you'd got any further?

Presume you are new to Vinted. They don’t have humans, only chatbots. You cannot reason with a lump of plastic and metal which is what their “customer service agents” are made of.

This I had an issue with a missing parcel. I just repeated over and over again my issue on the support function and transferred my money out and finally a human seemed to communicate on the support and I got a refund.... eventually. So I would say just keep on at them? Its awful they are the worst company to deal with.

Netcurtainnelly · 30/10/2025 16:24

Vinted spend loads on TV advertising and the owners are millionaires.
Why dont they put abit of money into the customer service side?

Hi there - yes, I finally got a reply from Vinted.

They manually updated the sale to "Delivered" so the buyer could click “Everything is OK”.

Interestingly, I’ve also since had an issue with a Vinted / Royal Mail parcel go AWOL for 1.5 weeks. An item I was buying. It did eventually turn up.

And now, one of my sales that has completed, I have a message in my app “sorry, your earnings may stay in pending for longer than usual. We’re working on it.”

WTF is going on….

@Jadebear - I'm glad it got resolved for you!

I got a response to my [email protected] email about 15 minutes ago to say they were investigating. They have until 7pm to do it!

And yes, I see that message too. It's such a shame isn't it? I really enjoyed Vinted - buying and selling. I'm not sure I'll be able to trust them again after this for anything more than £20 or so

Jadebear · 30/10/2025 18:42

Good luck @faustina
I hope it get resolved for you.
I’ve saved that email for future reference, so thanks.

Yep, I totally agree. It’s 100% for low value items for me now.
