Every year mine seem to have some kind of side effect. This year is diarrhoea. Any else’s household?
Mine had their vaccines 5/6 days ago.

I think diarrhoea would be a very unusual side effect OP. Much more likely it’s a bug sorry

Not that unusual. Mine always get diarrhoea when they have flu/colds

My kids ALWAYS get side effects from the flu spray. My siblings kids do too. Fevers, headaches, runny noses etc. Every year. I don't mind this, the side effects are "worth" the benefits but i wish they would be honest that lots of children will get side effects. DC2 used to have the non-live vaccine for medical reasons and did not get side effects with that.

What gets me cross is they know full well the spray "provokes a more robust immune response" which is why they give children the live nasal spray vaccine but do not give it to adults/the elderly.

Some people might be better off choosing to get their child the injection instead of live vaccine but they need honest information to make that choice.

It’s not the people who answer the questions, it’s the people who start the threads, and there are of course plenty of genuine threads too, like this one of course.
It’s good to be aware of the misinformation techniques being used against our country, I think. It’s our children and elderly relatives at risk, after all.

The answer to that though isn’t to pretend that no children get side effects, it’s to reiterate the actual facts. It’s a live vaccine, and a small percentage of children will experience side effects. These are usually mild, and short lasting.

No, nothing.

My 2 little ones have had all their vaccines. This year though they both had there spray at two different times and both suffered with headaches, temps and rashes after. Diarrhoea is listed as a side effect for the person that said it was likely. My 6yr has had the above symptoms plus stomach upset. Dont feel bad for asking the question, I came on here to see if others were having an issue too. This is the first year the symptoms have been bad. Feels like the our school did it the last day of term for a reason....

The nasal spray is not licenced for adults. The nasal passages are thicker in an adult, so the spray wouldn’t be absorbed as well, and therefore not work like it does in children.
The injection is offered alongside the spray, so always an option, but the nasal spray is the most effective product for children in preventing flu.

Mine have never had side effects from the nasal flu vaccine. This year seems to be pretty bad for viruses already. My 3 have been absolutely riddled with colds and we’re not even out of October yet. Maybe it’s a coincidence? Especially as you said you’re not well either.

It could be a coincidence, but it also could be side effects from the vaccination as it’s well documented that some children will suffer side effects.
