Each morning I've got 3 school drop offs, my two eldest at secondary and 2 youngest at two different primary schools (dc3 needed to move schools). Anyway after dropping dc3 off at a cut through to her school I was met by a really aggressive lady, I was turning the turning circle and about to pull off when she pulled forward in front of me to get to her drive and shout 'what the f am I doing?' and then shout I should 'f off and she would 'kill me' all in front of dc4 age 7!
I just drove off without saying anything as I did t want to scare dc4 but honestly I feel like this is completely unacceptable, advice please on what I can do ...

Unfortunately, the school run, and those living in close proximity to schools bring out the very worst in some people from both sides.

I would just ignore her, and carry on with your day as normal. Mornings are stressful enough when trying to get your children to school.

At my DC's old primary school, there was a lovely old chap who lived close to it. I very often used to chat to him, and he always said he didn't mind the parking, as long as his drive was kept free (which it always was tbf).

But then, a bit further down the road was a completely different character. I parked outside her house one day - completely legally, not causing an obstruction or blocking any drives. I got out to get the pram out of my boot, and this lady pulled up behind my car, parked a couple of inches off my bumper, and got out and walked to her house. I politely asked her to move her car so that I could get to my boot. Her reply was "I live here" - to which I said "I know you live there. I have asked you politely to move your car back so that I can get my baby's pram out of the boot"

She huffed and puffed, but got in her car and moved it. And I thanked her afterwards (even though she gave me a look that could kill!).

So yeah, it's part and parcel I'm afraid. Just look forward to the day when primary school runs are a thing of the past!

Kids should walk or cycle to school, problem solved. No primary school distance will warrant a drive.

Edited

I'm with you in principle but some catchment areas are large, some have access roads with no pavements or high speed limits, some parents have to get to work and don't have time to walk/cycle to school and back before setting off to work, and of course only Y5 & Y6 can do the school committee solo.

If only successive governments had built more schools as opposed to allow developers to just build more houses
