I have seen a lovely scarf on a recent trip to Edinburgh. I don’t normally care much for presents but I have requested this from dh. It’s a bit more than I would spend but we’re sensible with money and I would treasure it.

We don’t normally do a tonne of gifts at Christmas as I honestly prefer to spend the money on nice food. But I would be thrilled with the scarf and maybe a bottle of perfume.

What would you like?

For DH and eldest DS to stop quarreling and put their differences behind them.

My MIL made me a beautiful sculpture of an elephant (my favourite animal) years ago. I love it. It sits on a window sill amongst a wee jungle of plants. It was broken by our dog and my husband did a kintsugi repair on it and now I love it even more.

1. To feel.on top.form instead of never feeling well.
2. Peace and contentment.
3. A new Kindle
4. A couple of good books.
5. A new perfume- no idea which one. Will probably go and buy one for myself.

We have had a really really shit year topped off with the loss of DD best friend who was killed last month - this year I am just going to happy to have my young adult kids at home with me. My perspective on so many things has changed this year and I usually really dislike Xmas but this year I am determined to be grateful for what I have and that is not material things.

Definitely been thinking of wanting a kindle. I’ve only ever had physical books - but I’ve got arthritis so an e reader seems like the more practical option. I think I’d read more too as it’s just easy to grab and go.

A new wedding ring as my one split and I know I could have it repaired but I thought an upgrade would be nice as couldn't afford a really good one 36 years ago.
If I could wish for anything in the world though it would be a cure for all cancers, MND, MS and Huntingtons Chorea.
