Anyone who attended a pro-Palestine demonstration/ march yesterday, on the day of the second anniversary of the barbaric attacks, needs to check their moral compass.

Nothing else needs to be said, no whataboutery, nothing.

I think you re wrong about that.
Why does one atrocity get an anniversary when so many other equally abhorrent atrocities don't.

It's right that 7/10 should be commemorated. Likewise on a separate day for the suffering of the Gazans.

It's not about 'getting' an anniversary, that kind of just happens. If some atrocities don't get a commemorative day, there's nothing to stop you starting one. I mean it's national mouldy cheese day today, so these days exist from the most trivial to the most serious.

Did anyone read the list of the names of over 18000 dead children in The Guardian this week? There were stories of some of the individual children and beautiful pictures of them smiling and playing.

Young lives cut short on an unimaginable scale: the 18,457 children on Gaza’s list of war dead

I’d march to protest against this, to try and stop this, to ask the government to stop funding this every single day of the week.

You don’t like people protesting the deaths of 18000 children? You do you.

Beanosaurus · 09/10/2025 22:09

I completely agree OP

HRTQueen · 09/10/2025 22:10

I have attend the protests

but this week was not the time to

there is an element form some of antisemitism on the protests i have been too which will be denied

it has to be acknowledged it’s part of the problem as we acknowledge the atrocities by the Isreali government and Hamas

It isn't genocide. Palestine doesn't want to be free. This is not about land. They want to eliminate Israel and the Jewish state. They have bluntly told us this over and over again.

For those gobbling up the propaganda peddled by the likes of the BBC, I suggest you seek some alternative sources and do some research.

These marches are a disgrace.

Hamas was elected by the Palestinian people, they are their representatives. The ‘protests’ on the 7th were deliberate. Propaganda is such a powerful tool. If nothing else, Hamas and their supporters will be remembered in history for the effective use of propaganda in our modern age and the gullibility of large swathes of people. Scary stuff but sadly nothing new. I do believe the sheer idiocy will be acknowledged eventually, but at a cost.
