Anyone have experience of their little ones being like this and caught up?
My little boy is 18 months, but was 2 months early so should only be 16 months- he’s not pointing, waving and has no words yet.
But he’s so social in other ways, responds to name, claps if you clap, gets excited when visitors like grandparents come round, follows his sister around, plays with toys appropriately for age.. ( like will move cars like a car ), has no issues with textures, foods, no stimming or any unusual repetitive behaviours.
He’s been referred to ENT as audiologists says he has glue ear.
It’s as if when I wave, he finds it funny rather than wanting to copy and say bye? ( although he’s done it once a week or so ago to his nanny when she left )
He’s so physical, can ride a scooter and loves climbing / running. My daughter was the opposite, couldn’t jump until 3 but could say words early.
I’m a little worried, but health visitor said they will follow up when he is 2 years old. AIBU worrying about it?
