To ask what type of saucepans are best?

I am looking at scoville which are non stick and heavy but also heavily reduced making them the same price as the basic cheapest saucepans I was originally going to buy.

I don’t know if these cheap ones are aluminium or stainless steel but they are light and don’t look like they will scratch.
The Scoville ones have a coating so may not last as long.
Are Scoville any good? Any better than cheap basic supermarket saucepans?

I have had my 3 Judge saucepans since 2006 and they have no signs of wear. They’re not non-stick though. Check your new pans are suitable for an induction hob if you have one or intend getting one. Go for glass lids so that you can see inside without lifting a lid. If you can get draining pans then that’s a bonus too. Don’t worry about cost. It’s a one-off purchase so you may as well get what you want.

I've had the blue flavorstone set for 5+ years now and it's still as good as new. I do use latex utensils on them though.

I’ve had 2 sets of stainless steel Stellar saucepans and they are very good but the rivets which attach the handles have corroded (probably to do with the dishwasher but they are supposed to be dishwasher proof) and some of the handles have actually dropped off. Unfortunately I can’t find my proof of purchase or I would return them.

my stella stainless steel are nearly 16 years old.
as new.
Used all the time daily.

I'm sure they will outlive me.

(and they can be used on and in my aga which is a bonus (essential now I have an aga, I didn't have one when I go the pans!))

No chemical non-stick stuff to wear away over time, Just decent quality stainless steel which stuff doesnt stick to, and if it does the dishwasher, washes it off.
