To think it's inappropriate to constantly kiss and snog on public transport?

The couple on the train infront of me have barely stopped snogging the whole way. Slurpy noises included. It's disgusting. They're in their 50s I would guess. AIBU to feel this way?

I'm in Brazil, and PDA is very common here, more so among younger people than people in their 50s. I'm 40+, so I would never kiss and snog in public because I think it makes people feel uncomfortable. Apparently, the lovebirds on your train don't share that view. Maybe shift focus to something else?

Public displays of affection such as that are usually by people who have struggled with forming relationships as not viewed as attractive by many.

Yeah, it sounds pretty vile but you know what, the world is a shitty place at times, so perhaps it’s nice to see a bit of love and affection.

I think DH and I encountered your couple the other day, right in the middle of the pavement.
We had to step into the road to get round them as they were taking up the whole pavement and ignoring our approach.
We rolled our eyes quite a bit. But tbh if they had been sufficiently polite to have moved aside for us I probably would have just thought their ardour was quite sweet.

A young couple were doing this in the canteen at Sainsbury's when I worked there. An older member of staff said loudly "for fucks sake get a room!"
They left soon after

I think there are far worse things people do,
I would find it mildly irritating if they did it throughout the journey. A few kisses- totally fine.
I also would not mind if someone was applying make-up.

I think you’re rIght. It’s exhibitionism. Most people would prefer privacy for more than a brief kiss.
