To think that PCs/laptops and printers were much more thing circa 2009/2010?

I got home internet for the first time in August 2009 / and at the time I did most internet browsing on my PC at home than my phone at the time - also I bought a printer - and used it a few times.

Fast forward to 2016 I moved house, bought a new printer but never use it. Same with PC. Got very little use out of it

I wfh on a laptop and have a separate one for my own use. I also use my printer regularly!

But yes, day to day faffing online (eg now!) is done on my phone

Yes of course, we effectively have a computer in our pockets all the time now so we don’t need them as much anymore! I have a laptop but I barely use it. DH has a computer but he uses it for gaming etc so it’s a bit different. We use our printer probably once a week though

School kids and school teacher in the house so we still do a fair bit of printing. And we have a home pc for said school kids to work on - one anyway, the older one has a laptop. But you’re right, most of the internet browsing etc is phone / tablet now. I can print from my phone to the printer - amazing for eg pdfs from school that I want to just get a copy of!

I love my laptop, I would much rather use it when I am at home than my phone. I just find it easier to look at and read, with it being bigger,
We have a printer but only my son uses it to print things out for school.

I use my printer all the time but like you am mainly on my phone for other stuff. I use my laptop for watching Netflix when I’m away with work.

Well, yes, of course, PCs/laptops were more of a thing in 2009. The first iPhone, which was really the first proper smartphone, was only released half way through 2007. A lot of people still had brick phones in 2009.

Digital capabilities have come on fast since then. We can take photos of things to upload rather than needing hard copies of everything. We can electronically sign documents. That said, we have a printer at home and still use it for work (shipping labels and customs documents) and bloody homework. 😩

Still use laptops for work. I can send a quick email or do social media on my phone. But I’m not typing out long documents on a smartphone.
