Do dentists give their children dummies?

I'm wonderimg if dummies are that bad.

I'm back on the dummy 22 months. It's an ortho one.

My daughter was born 10 weeks early and the hospital encourage dummies for prem babies. It’s also said to reduce the risk of cot death.

I didn't use dummies with mine (couldn't be bothered with all that sterilizing) but had two thumb suckers. No orthodontist treatment here.

3 kids never really understood the need for dummies. Surely they don’t miss what they never had . My sister is a dentist and she never used dummies on her two DC
