Toddlers teeth are bad due to dummy?

Toddler only had a dummy for sleep, but let's face it they can sleep for 12 hours of the day.

Stopped it at 18 months, so 3 ish months ago when he had a check up with dentist and I was told all but two teeth have come through and dentist can tell dummy is being used.

The bottom teeth are straight but the top were curved around the dummy. The top have started to close but I do think he's got an overbite.

The photo isn't perhaps indicative of his teeth, they don't look because they look crossed etc but I can't get a good pic. He was in the middle of talking/his jaw isn't natural here.

Also his teeth are looking a little yellow. Maybe I'm not Cleaning them well. They often look white but some lights discoloured

My mum says they are milk teeth and not to worry.
Toddler doesnt have juice and attends a council run nursery so easy healthy.

Aibu that he's going to have bad teeth? I had jaw surgery

His teeth look perfectly fine to me; and don’t look like they’ve been impacted by the dummy.

If you had jaw surgery I would suspect that will linked to any overbite rather than dummy use.

I can't see any problems. If he is still having the dummy to sleep, I would gently remove it from his mouth when he is asleep. He is old enough now for you to prepare him for its permanent removal. Christmas is coming round again all too quickly. Nearer the time, you could tell him that he is a big boy now and Father Christmas needs to take his dummy to a baɓy boy when he brings the presents.
