Infighting already in Corbyn's new party

Been reading the headlines about how Corbyn's new party is already in fighting and falling apart after a disagreement.

I wouldn't have voted for the party anyway as it's too far left for me but is it any wonder the right are doing so well when this is what they're up against??

Wasn’t Labour only voted in about a year ago? I’m confused by your opinion that ‘the right is doing so well’

I gave a feeling we we just hearing the noisy. Not the numerous.

It’s absolutely hilarious to watch! The left purity spiral in action once again, as anyone could have predicted.

The left is generally more concerned about purity politics and they just eat each other alive if they deem another group to not be left enough, pure enough. The right is much better at unifying in pursuit of a common goal, even if it means siding with people you have minor disagreements with.

Unfortunately the left is often more concerned about vanity and virtue signalling than it is with actual real world solutions that benefit real people. They're more concerned about "winning" or at least feeling like they've won, than they are about actually doing the right thing. They will always award themselves the victory, because if they win the election, great - if they lose the election, its still a moral victory; they've only lost because not enough people are as morally pure as they are and the other side are all fascists/racists/transphobes etc.

They also fail to adapt to the real world attitudes of the wider population and often fail to realise that we are a democracy, a good current example being the Green party claiming they don't believe in borders, at a time in history when the majority of the population say they want immigration to be more heavily controlled and monitored. Failing to at least attempt to adapt your policies in that direction is just a win for the opposition.

Corbyn is a disruptor, campaigner, agitator. He’s not a leader. This isn't the only time he's been accused of sexism by a prominent woman on the left. If it were someone else being accused, the accusations might stick. But people are just desperate to think well of him.

It’s hilarious. Corbyn is a joke and always has been.

The right has deeply awful purity spirals as well but they take the whole country with them precisely because they all agree. Brexit in the UK. Gun control and abortion in the US.

Ruining countries with right wing consensus purity spirals.

Jeremy Corbyn might be loved by a few but he will never achieve the sort of popularity required to lead a mainstream party. He’s hard left and he looks it and his naturally miserable demeanour does not help.

KhakiTiger · 19/09/2025 18:27

Fruit and Nut and running the party like they would run the country. Clowns. Though only marginally worse than Labour and the last shitshow of a Tory government.

But it is hilarious to watch Marxists show themselves up to be what they are.

I didn't expect it to happen so soon.

The Muslim and Trans breakaway groups were always unlikely bedfellows…
