The front page of the daily mail is at it again. Not reporting the news but race baiting and causing upset and division.

EXCLUSIVE Migrant on disability benefits housed in retirement home with his family vows to use human rights to fight eviction... unless they are found a bigger home

this is not news. Let alone top-of-the-morning headline news. This is rich newspaper owners trying to manipulate the population into hating each other.

why do we stand for it? Its propaganda designed to make reform and riots seem inevitable. It’s literally a check box of things to make them angry. What happened to proper investigative journalism targeting corruption of the rich and powerful?

AIBU to think that this is not news but manipulation to make us angry?

Migrant housed in care home who moved family in says he won't go

Bangladeshi father-of-nine Shahidul Haque, 59, moved into a single-room flat in David Smith Court, in Reading, Berkshire, a complex reserved for residents over the age of 55, last July.

Newspapers are owned by people with a vested interest.

The public at large do not buy papers to learn about the news, they buy newspapers that reinforce their views.

If you read newspapers from 100 years ago they are the same - spin, opinion, political slant matching the owner.

Everyone knows this. Some people care about it more than others.
Private Eye pops their bubble for anyone interested.

If this story were in, say, the local Craptown Echo, would it be worthy of coverage?

This is one individual, but I guess the Daily Mail’s point in covering it is the wider picture, ie an unemployed man with little English (after 28 years here) can bring a second wife and children to the UK and expect support.

Because the media want us to be upset about this and not all the other shit going on in the world/country etc
