To think that the worst part of growing up is realising that most TV is actually shitely done

I cant think of many programmes that are just well done all the way through

Most of them give GCSE drama - i swear I could write a better plot myself

People cling on to The Wire and Breaking Bad as most shows are just a mess (here's looking at you the last two seasons of Game of Thrones 🙄, and current Eastenders)

When i was a kid, in the 90s, I remember thinking that TV was so good! X Factor felt real, Eastenders was cracking, Bad Girls was super good.

Is it worse now (YANBU) or is this just adulthood (YABU)?

But shite tv just makes the shite stuff that much worse!

The good thing about being grown up is that you don't have to watch TV. None of it if you don't like it. So don't.

It’s always been pretty shit.

I like documentaries and real life stories but that’s boring for lots of people.

I never have gotten the appeal of things like Holby, eastenders, Corrie, emmerdale or hollyoaks.

People just brainlessly tuning in multiple times a week for years to basically watch the same shit happen year after year. Since there are only so many Dramas a family can have. Oh no someone’s having an affair, ah murder again. No a car crash/house explosion. A domestic abusive partner. A concealed pregnancy. Ohhh he wasn’t really dead now his back!!! Nearly forgot punch ups in the pub.
Rinse and repeat.

If it was that great, there wouldn't be so many posters spending their life on here, so you clearly have a point 😂

why are you wasting time on here with silly threads instead of being useful and doing important life saving volunteering or something 😂
