Sat on my bed watching an old interview between David Letterman and Robert Downey Jr., the love of my life. Contemplating sneaky cheese on toast.

I’m trying to relax before a big week. We’ve eaten a roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings, I’m in bed with my ds who’s 7 but has additional needs. He’s calming down after a hyper few hours. We’re snuggled up and he’s watching someone on YouTube opening tiny toys on his iPad.
My DD17 and DH are watching tv downstairs, my DD14 is in the bath and my DS19 is packing his stuff 😩 he moves to uni on Wednesday! I’ve done a food shop for him with lots of cupboard staples and it’s bagged up ready to go. Feels so surreal.
I’m so excited for him. But a bit sad for me because I will really miss him and I’m quite anxious about how he’ll get on because he has health issues. Just trying to keep all my feelings in perspective and concentrate on being proud, positive and pleased for him. I’ll blatantly cry all the way home when we drop him off though!!

Oh and I asked ds to go and get me crisps, I asked for smoky bacon and he brought me beef hula hoops so I’ve had to make do!

Driving home from Bristol after watching the Red Roses smash Scotland. Had a fab weekend of Women’s rugby as also watched Canada vs Australia yesterday. DH is driving - not me!

Watching Ghosts in my bedroom (the TV show, I don't have special powers.
Just eaten a plate of crackers while listening to the heavy rain.
Shower soon then early night.
I will put on a "sounds of waves on a beach" type thing on youtube to send me to sleep.

4yo DS is fast asleep, 6mo DD is currently making a mockery of me and refusing to settle in her cot for the night so I’m feeding her to sleep… again. Sleep is a bit of a disaster with her at the moment, but like the weather, this too shall pass. It’s blowing a gale and hooning it down outside 🌧️ which is quite nice to listen to, with the window ajar.

Been out earlier. DC wanted to go out with a friend to a (very affordable) restaurant with a friend - they were both paying for their own food but we weren't sure if they'd allow teens in unaccompanied, plus it was pissing down so we took them, stayed and ate at a table the other side of the restaurant!

Watching the darts with one eye while finishing my book. Had to pop on laptop to do a couple of things and ended up on here, will be putting laptop down soon!

I finally got a sewing area sorted out, I've got room to spread out and I don't have to put anything away. I've spend a few days at my sewing machine watching TV & listening to music with headphones on. Tonight and tomorrow are going to be too miserable to go out, so I'll be doing more sewing.

On mumsnet, knitting and watching Only Murders in the building in my bedroom. I bought a projector as we didn’t want a fixed TV in the bedroom and it’s small and easy to put away. I think it will get lots of use in the winter.

Oooh. Can you link the projector? I’m keen on this idea for movie nights with the kids but don’t want a Tv. Do you cast from your phone?😊

We had beef fajitas while our son listened to his tonies box in bed. He's fast asleep now.

Just watched a West Wing before having a bath. I'll go and watch something peaceful in a minute and my husband will have his bath.

All sorted for tmrw, everything is ironed, kitchen is clean. Looking forward to a cold fizzy drink before settling into bed.

Relaxing in a nice bubble bath, with a soon glass of Prosecco and a handful of munchies 🍫

Busy week ahead, DD wants to go shopping before uni tomorrow, then
we take her back Tuesday, home Wednesday, blood test Thursday and chemo Friday. I will feel like shit next week, so enjoying my few days of feeling “ normal “ 😊

Cruise with Ben & David have a new episode on tube, early night plans blown.
I have no desire to cruise ever and hate those huge ships but love watching that pair.

Just finished off the back piece of my current knitting 🧶 project. Going to look at Woolwarehouse website for some yarn for a baby jacket. My own project can wait a bit before continuing.

We had pork fillet with roasties, mangetout, lentils and apple, followed by Rhubarb crumble and custard. Then watched the inheritance.
DS has gone to his room. I'm watching the news with the end of my wine, DH is reading in bed.

I spent the evening in bed with a rather lovely man I've recently started seeing who I genuinely like and who is extremely skilled at sex. Now he's gone home so I've had some tea and toast and get the bed to myself for a good night's sleep. This might be actual perfection.
