VW buzz cars - why are they so annoying?

(Okay, usual disclaimer: I'm quite happy with my car. No, I'm not jealous of them, no I don't need a big car anymore, yes you do you, yes it's only opinion. Yes I probably have got better of things to do.)

....but why are they so fucking annoying? Is it that jaunty two tone colour, is it the implication that the people who drive them very pleased with them indeed?
(I do note they got a very good review in the times) or is it they are FUN people to do FUN stuff and we like to live life to the FULLEST that kind of vibe?

God they are hideous

It’s far too expensive and the range is poor. The VW bus was popular for a reason - it was compact and cheap. This is an expensive remake. I can see why it appeals to small businesses owners. It’d make a good taxi or airport shuttle. But god, it’s ugly 😂

I like them. A neighbor has one and I think it would be better than the Nissan we have. Our kids are long-limbed and the seven seater we have it is a struggle for our 10 yo’s legs when he is in the very back.

Didn’t know people get annoyed by the look of a car. How is it smug? That’s just projection.

I have one, bought it about a year ago. i absolutely love it, it’s lovely to drive, I can fit loads in, it’s cheap to run and I think the range is pretty good. I’ve done long drives in the UK with no issues but haven’t yet driven it abroad.

Mine is the hated two-tone and I think it’s beautiful.
I do think it’s a fun car. I don’t feel smug but it makes me happy every time I drive it.
Other people seem to like it too. I get lots of looks when I’m driving and parked up and people compliment it.
Maybe that’s why it seems smug. 😄

I love mine! Although I do have a single colour one. I test drove a yellow and white one and my usually very polite son said…. “I’m not fuxkibg getting in that!” So we went with silver!

I think they look how a vehicle from 2025 should look! Quirky and futuristic. And yes to more colour in the world.

Really easy to park. The cameras are great and give a 360 view. Plus if someone parks too close you can get in the sliding back door.

Whoever asked about parking - I drive an alternative bread loaf on wheels and parking is dead simple, even leaving aside cameras. It’s straight up and down, so you know where the boot ends!

I would love a Buzz, especially a 2 toned one. I would drive it and be very pleased.

They aren’t as big as you’d think…. Super easy to park… No different to parking an estate car.

Had never heard of them before this post but I 5hink they look gorgeous and fill a gap in the market. They will do well.

I used to drive restored 1960’s VW split screen camper vans back in my yoof and they were always two tone colours.

I love them. Electric only puts me off, I’m not there yet. That and the fact that I can’t begin to afford one.
Still, a girl can dream, and I’d like a two-tone red and white one.
