Awful new neighbours are making me want to cry

Honestly this is just a rant and I will prefix this with I’m not entirely clear whether or not they really ARE our new neighbours. The previous owners moved out in April but the house is not showing as sold and these people have been coming and going, not staying there every night, and recently disappeared for about 5 weeks. There are multiple different cars that get parked on the drive and it’s all a bit confusing.

But the woman is just awful. She has a large dog in a tiny house which barks constantly and then shouts at it to stop barking. One night over the summer she just left it in the garden to bark its head off while she was doing something out front. She has also put a large “beware of the dog” sign on her front door which I think lowers the tone of the area.

But more than anything she is so LOUD. She is two doors down and I can hear her entire conversations and arguments on the phone. When she’s not on the phone, just stands in her garden and shouts!

I want to move next year and I’m so worried she is going to be off putting to prospective buyers. Our old neighbours were so quiet I feel so cross with them for selling to this awful, loud and inconsiderate woman.

Also, admitting she knows her dog may be dangerous isn't really the wisest move.

Other than that I can't see how it 'lowers the tone'.

Yes if the dog was to bite she's admitted she knew it was dangerous dog signs should say dogs running loose or a insert breed lives here

You’re going to get hammered for the lowers he tone comment.

are you going to vet all prospective buyers personalities when you sell? No you’ll just sell the the best buyer, as your neighbour did. Not sure why you’re cross at them.

For goodness sake a dog sign doesnt lower the tone of a neighbourhood. Unless its neon flashing. Noise isnt good and I do sympathise with that.

Are you seriously cross with your old neighbours? That is bizarre.

My neighbours opposite moved....so its now quiet....very wealthy doctor and wife and daughter...all of them shouted day and night.....visitors until 2 am...car doors banging etc.....they have bought a posh mansion flat so maybe have adjusted their behaviour !

I do hope you realise you can't pick and choose who you sell your house to. If they offer the full price you can't refuse to sell because the neighbours may not like the new buyer.
