What this man said about my daughter - huge red flag, right ??

I play a social sport and recently got to know a man in his 60s who also plays.

the conversation of kids came up and I said I had a daughter, who’s 5. And he went ‘ is she a bitch yet ?’…

I mean that’s fucking weird isn’t it ? I said, no she’s 5..and moved on and went home.

but someone who says that can’t be quite right, surely ? He has one grown up daughter himself.

AIBU to keep my distance big time here or am I overreacting to someone just clumsily trying to be funny ?

What an awful thing to say about a tiny child. If it’s a social sport within some form of club or organisation, I’d mention it to the organisers in case others have reported similar comments.

Being as generous as I possibly can be, it might have been a woefully misguided attempt at humour coming from a socially inept oddball...but yeah, I'd proceed on the assumption that he's just a common or garden misogynistic arsehole.
