AIBU thinking that this is creepy?

It’s an odd and impractical piece of clothing but I’m not sure id use the word creepy. I don’t really get it though, it’s pointless to wear it as a vest but surely it’s not meant to be worn as a piece of clothing. It looks like underwear.

Either a 2yr old needs a vest or they don’t.
I mean, we’ve managed to dress toddlers for a long time without needing a half length under shirt.

What functional purpose does this top have? Why would you put it on your little boy?

Teanandtoast · 01/09/2025 23:54

I bought these in age 3-4 as my daughter is small for her age but started developing early. I felt sad when buying them!

Yes. The people who made these are targeting tiny 8 years olds. Thats why they put 2/3 on the packet 👍

🙄 2/3 is the age of the average kid that fits the clothing. Some kids are not average sized. That’s all my point was.

So for everyone who thinks it’s fine, would they put a little boy in one of those

Yeah I would if he saw it and liked it.

Sorry I explained my post badly, or little. They were in the girls vest section. Topless is fine. My question is why a 2 year old girl covers her chest or wears a training bra? If it's warm enough for no vest then no vest.

The function for a grown woman would be to give her support around her breasts or cover them for privacy. For a 2 year old I'm really not sure. If it's warm enough for no vest then no vest is fine. Covering their chest like a grown woman is very very strange.

Yes it is, its sexualising children wayyyy too young.

Seen girls about 4 in this sort of stuff and thought, why? If mom wears them.she may decide to dress daughter as a mini me.

Well hopefully not many parents buy them then.
