3 year injections - is this correct?

Dd turned 3 beginning of May and I’ve been waiting for a letter regarding her 3 year immunisations. Still haven’t heard anything so I rang the doctor and spoke to the receptionist. She seemed very unsure about what the procedures actually are now and waffled something about parents needing to contact the doctor to book them. This can’t be right can it? Many people don’t even realise their kids need injections again at this age.

Can they have them at any time during their third year? And has anyone else heard this crazy rule about needing to book yourself rather than getting a letter or even a text to let you know they are due?

I'm not sure what the immunisation schedule is these days! Speak to the practice nurse as she will know.

This is interesting. My daughter was 3 in March and I’ve been waiting for the letter too. I get them for my newborn son about his first and second vaccines, so expected the same for my daughter.

They’re supposed to be offered from 3 years and 4 months of age. And you should get a letter. If you haven’t and they’re overdue you need to contact your surgery to arrange an appointment.

At our surgery a letter goes out when they turn 3 years and 4 months old.

My practice vaccinate at 3 years and 4 months and sent out letters in advance clearly explaining what the vaccinations were and asking us to contact the practice to book.

Isn't it at 3y 4months for preschool booster?

Ahh maybe I’m a bit early then. The receptionist booked them in for this week. Do I still go ahead or reschedule?

They need to be three years and four months.
