We can due to exchange next week and I’m really considering pulling out given the general mess of the UK economy and the potential extra tax that have been suggested. Am I be ridiculous? Husband is team buy.

We have changed our minds about moving and are now going to hold off to see what the witch has in store before we take the plunge.

What more can anyone do but their best? She’s painted into a corner.

Reeves is spectacularly under qualified, and she is doing a ghastly job. The country is going backwards now. We were in reasonable shape but they have killed growth overnight. It’s ridiculous that some people can’t see what a dire state we are in. Playing with the property market is going to come back and haunt Reeves for sure.

Op, I hope you have some clarity, if you are needing to have therapy due to this move and it is creating such anxiety I suggest you are making a huge mistake, and your body is trying to warn you. Pull out.

Listen to your instincts. Don’t risk it. The sellers might be upset for a day or two (it’s happened to us) but they will get over it. You have to work with the facts. My question to you is - if I asked you today do you think it’s a good idea to move to x house? What would you say? There is the answer whatever your answer is. The point is the facts and landscape have changed in the last few months and this is not your fault, the government have made such poor decisions and are incompetent. Look after your own finances and future op,

She painted herself into that corner by lying and overstating her expertise by a factor of 20.

We are all paying the price for her ignorance & incompetence and she should stand down before she does any more damage to our economy and people's lives.

She deserves no sympathy whatsoever. She has only herself to blame.

Reeves’s November budget will prove a calamity.

Prudent to defer any further exposure to the UK.

Completely agree. Reeves is a shit show and she certainly shouldn't get special treatment bc she's an incompetent woman instead of an incompetent man.

I’m am very good at having 100 scenarios go through my head with no basis. We’ll lose our jobs, the market will crash, we won’t be able to sell etc etc.

I think I needed strangers to tell me I’m unreasonable.

Don't see how any of that's the government's fault but sure another Labour bashing excuse is easier.

For what it's worth I spiralled the day we exchanged as it was the day of the brexit result our mortgage is £400 a month more now due to Truss's shit economics.
There's always something
