I wasn't. I believed Adam Deacon when he said that he was bullied by him.

One of the things that worries me with this kind of bloke…
the arc goes from roguish cheekiness and charm, to pushiness, to entitlement- all the while thinking it’s ok ‘because I really, really wanted to!’, ‘No harm done, I was trying to apologise/explain.’, etc.

Then when they are called out and shamed and condemned - whether in the media, court, or just employment implications- they seem to feel they can abandon the veneer of civility and just go all in on self gratification.

What a mess

Msn link doesn't work for me but here's one

It cost more than twice that and if I were The Guardian I’d make him pay the lot. They’re being very generous to only ask for 3m imho!

NutButterOnToast · 26/09/2025 15:53

Surely to god he doesn't have 3m quid?

I have no idea what possesses people who are guilty as sin to go all in on libel cases.

Is it because he didn't see any future for his career unless he rolled the dice?

He's proper fucked now though.

Presumably there are actual charges now brewing from the women's allegations which he brought to trial? Hope he goes to prison.

Interesting that the judge did say that they believed that he really didn't think he was hurting anyone and wasn't doing so intentionally, although that doesn't excuse the behaviour.

Think Craig McLachlan's judge said something similar when he was being acquitted of indecent assault, namely, that he was so egotistical he would have genuinely believed his victims were consenting. Confused.

It’s true though, there are men who genuinely don’t get it. I don’t know how we train them out of it. The entitlement and desperation are powerful. <shudders>

mumofoneAloneandwell · 26/09/2025 17:26

I don't believe for a second there are men who dont get it

There are men who are surprised that they can be punished for it, thats the issue

He did several podcast interviews after the accusations where he talks about how these accusations arose from him being so driven and focused and successful that he pissed off a lot of people and that many are jealous of his success. He portrays himself as being a clever business man who opened doors for other black and working class actors/producers/writers. However, while portraying himself this way you think well if you were such a great operator or business strategist you would have operated in such a way that accusations like this were impossible. He would have conducted himself in a more businesslike and respectful way. In these podcasts he gives himself away as a bully and a predator. Which also makes him an idiot for potentially incriminating himself.

He’s a pure narcissist and he deserves everything that’s coming to him.

I’ve thought he was a cunt since he blocked me on twitter about 12 years ago because I called him out for referring to his wife as ‘vagina at home’.

That is absolutely disgusting. Not even trying a little bit to hide what he is.

His poor wife.

I'm surprised he still has that house in Kensington (that's where he was arrested). But maybe it's social housing.
