I know that answers will vary but I’m interested.

How many of your GCSE students got a grade 9?

Interested in size and type of school, subject and classes taught and how many 9s you got.

I’m trying to ‘big up’ my DD who got a couple of 9s (and a mix of lower grades).

Not many! She’s done bloody brilliantly. 🙂

She's in the top 3%ish nationally, well done.

Well done to your dd grade 9's...(as are 7's and 8's) are a huge achievement. I work in a Grammar in a humanities subject. About a quarter the grades were 9's. A bit less than a quarter of the whole school grades were 9's across the board. Of those who got 9's I can only see 2 who got all 9's.

We can a 9 a 'unicorn'. Very rare and she should be extremely proud of herself!

what?? what a load of absolute shite. Grades are grades and examiners don't know the identities of the students they are marking,
OP I teach private and we tend to get some students with loads of nines and most with none. They are much harder to get than the old A*. She should be ecstatic.
